Visit from Aunt Joan

My Aunt Joan (my mom's sister) and her friend Merna came to visit us the first week of May. They were on a tour of some of the southern states by train. They took a little detour and came to see us while they were on our side of the country. It was so good to have them stay with us. The kids loved having visitors. Jonathan couldn't remember their names so he called them both grandma. I think that is a compliment since to him grandma's are great!
Merna and Aunt Joan trying their first bowl of black-eyed peas a southern favorite. Alan kept the kids for the day and we got to have a girls day out. It was so fun for me to have a break and spend time with them.
I took them to the Quilter's museum and on a walking tour of downtown Paducah. I love the old buildings. What a fun day!
Aunt Joan and Jonathan at Alli's dance class. It just happened to be visitors day, Alli was so excited to have them come to watch her dance.
Thanks for the visit Aunt Joan and Merna. You can come anytime!
