Alli's baptism

Alli turned 8 at the beginning of the month and was baptized 2 days later. It was such a beautiful day. She was so excited. She has been waiting for this day for a long time. She looked so beautiful all dressed in white. It was a very emotional day for me. I can't believe that my "baby Alli" could be old enough to be baptized. We are so proud of her for making that decision to follow the example of our Savior Jesus Christ and taking that step to coming closer to our Heavenly Father.
It was very special that her dad could baptize her. I just love this picture.
None of our family from the west were able to come but there was not a lack of "family" and love. Alli was the only one getting baptized and there were 44 people that came to support and see her that day. We are truly blessed to have such good friends since we live so far away from our family.
What cute kids!

Alli was the best missionary - she gave invitation to her baptism to all of her friends at school and some of our neighbors. These are a few of her friends that came that aren't members of our church (except for the one in the glasses). She was so excited that they came. It really made her day. She goes to dance and plays tennis with 3 of them.

The proud mom.

Alli asked me to give the talk on the Holy Ghost. I made her a white fleece blanket (she is holding it in this picture) as a object lesson that the Holy Ghost can comfort us just like a nice warm blanket. She loves it and sleeps with it every night. She calls it her "Holy Ghost" blanket. One night last week she had a bad dream and she said as soon as she said a little prayer and wrapped up in her blanket that she felt better and was able to go to sleep.
