The Nutcracker

We switched dance instructors this year for Alli. Her teacher now only teaches ballet. We are very impressed at how much she has learned and she loves it. Her teacher is wonderful. Instead of having a recital at the end of the year, Alli gets to perform in an actual ballet twice a year. The dance company performed exerpts from the Nutcracker last Friday. Alli's age group performed one number. They were "Polichenelles, Italian for clown. They live under Mother Ginger's" dress. It was the cutest thing. I wish that all of you could have seen it. They were so cute. She got to perform it 2 times. Once in the morning for around 1,500 school kids and then in the evening for the general public. Being as shy as she is you would think that she would get nervous, but she loves to perform.

After the performance. We got a babysitter for Olivia so that we could enjoy the show. She had more fun playing at home anyway and not having to sit in one place which she doesn't do very well.
