Happy Birthday Jonathan!

Alan and Jonathan started a tradition last year of decorating the birthday cake together. Since Jonathan (and Alan) have really been interested in pirates lately they decided to make a pirate ship. Jonathan put his own Playmobil pirates on the cake. I think that they did a great job. Doesn't it look awsome?

It was a beautiful day so we ate cake and ice cream outside.

I realized that these pictures are in random order and in each picture Jonathan has on a different shirt or his pajamas. The story behind that is...his actual birthday was on a Monday, but Alan teaches out of town on that day which means that he wouldn't be home in the evening so we decided to celebrate it on Sunday, well Jonathan got really sick on Sunday, poor kid. By the evening he felt good enough to open presents but not have cake and ice cream so we ended up doing that on Monday.

On the weekend Jonathan had a birthday party with a few friends. It was a pirate theme, of course. We put pirate compasses on top of the cupcakes and played lots of pirate games.
