A few weeks ago we got the opportunity to take the kids to see the Pinta & the Nina, replicas of two
of Columbus' ships. They have been touring around and were docked in Grand Rivers, KY for a couple of days. The kids loved it, especially Jonathan. He thought they were pirate ships, of course.
We 1st stopped at the lake to have a picnic
. The kids loved hanging out on the beach and collecting seashells and throwing inrocks.
It was a beautiful day. You can't see in the picture but in the distance there are quite a few sail boats. We all wished that we were out sailing.
Our friend, Renee and her kids went with us.
Jonathan found a big clam shell that he was so proud of, but mom wouldn't let him take it in the car because it was too wet, gooey and smelly. YUCK!
We met some other friends at the ships. This is Jonathan and his best friend. They were already planning pirate adventures. They had a blast!

Yay congrats Janice! I am glad you are starting to feel better! Looks like you have had an eventful last couple of months. Glad everything is going good now. Cant wait to hear what sex it is :)
