Luau

We had a luau on Memorial Day in celebration of Alan getting tenure at the University. YEA! If you ask Alli what that means she says, "It means that they like what daddy is doing at his job and they want him to stay." So there you have it. I think that is a great explanation. Alan says that we can now stay for 30 years. Now mom, don't freak out, we will have to wait and see what happens but for now we feel like we need to be here for a little longer. I guess there is still work for us to do here.

All dressed up!

The missionaries came to celebrate with us. Sister Barnes and Sister Vincent

Jonathan and Alan doing to "Hakka."
Alli and I doing the hula dance.

Sister Barnes had to get in on the action.
We had a fun night. The kids had a blast. We are so proud of Alan for working so hard. It is a big deal to get tenure and if you don't get it they give you one year to find a job somewhere else and then you are asked to leave. We have been waiting this whole school year to find out if he got it or not. It has been a long 8 months. What a blessing! He is a great husband, father and provider for our family. Congratulations Alan! We love you!
