7 months

Nicholas turned 7 months in October.  Perfect time to take some pictures with some beautiful fall leaves.
Look at that cute little baby face.  So cute!

Jonathan put this hat on him.

My 2 handsome boys.

He was still a little wobbly at sitting up on his own when we were taking these picture and he wasn't on perfectly level ground so I was sitting right by him while Alan had the camera just in case he fell over.  Well, I turned my back for just a second and he toppled over and hit his head on the tree and scraped his face on all the poky stuff laying on the ground.  It was so sad.  Photo shoot was then over.

He started sucking his thumb this month.  Ugh!  We have tried to get him to stop but you can't do anything while they are in bed.  We tease Alli that she must have taught him how to do it and he does it just like Alli used to in that he only does it when he is really tired and when he has his blanket.  He grabs his blanket and pulls it right up to his face and sucks his thumb.  I used to be able to lay him down with his pacifier and he would keep it in but now when I lay him down most of the time he spits the pacifier out and puts his thumb in.  They do look so cute when they are babies but when they are older it is a hard habit to break.  You can't just throw it away like a pacifier.

At the beginning of his 7th month he started to scoot but now at the end he is crawling all over.  It is so exciting and scary at the same time because I realize how unprepared I am for his little hands to be grabbing everything.  My house is definitely kid proof but not baby proof.  And with older kids it is even harder because they leave little things on the ground.  It can be the tiniest thing but those baby eyes see it somehow and he crawls across the floor so fast to get to that teeny tiny thing.  How do they know?  We call them at this age our vacuum cleaner.
