At the end of September the primary planned a primary activity/ward temple trip. Renee was the mastermind behind it all. She wanted to help all of the parents of the primary kids get to the temple so they brought them to the temple and we had a primary activity at the church beside the temple while the parents attended the temple.
At one point in the activity we walked around the temple grounds and got to meet the temple president and he talked to the kids. A picture of all of the primary kids and us in the primary presidency. We had a great turn out.
We played games outside. It was a beautiful day.
Here are some of the kids waiting for their sugar cookies to decorate.
Before we went home we had to get a picture of our family in front of the temple.
This is what Livy looked like at the end of the day - a big whole in the knee of her tights (that she had been picking at all day), hair a mess and icing all over her face after eating her cookie. Our friend JJ asked her about the hole in her tights and she responded, "Daddy picked out the wrong tights." (I had gone early to attend the earlier session so Alan got them all ready and brought them later). JJ told him what she said and he defended himself by saying that they didn't start out that way. HA!
This is the wonderful primary presidency that I had the pleasure of working with on the last Sunday before Renee left. Me, Renee, Sandy and Janet. I love these ladies. They are truly amazing and inspirational to me. We were all released from this presidency when Renee moved but then I was called back into the next presidency. I was excited. I love it! I have only been serving for about a year. I just felt like my time in primary wasn't over yet.
Renee and I
I miss her so much. We became instant friends when she moved here less than 2 years ago. I call her my sister. It is amazing how you can grow so close to someone in such a short amount of time. Our spirits must have know each other before we were born.
Our little primary. I love all of these cute little kids.
Nicholas and Tyson (The Larson's baby boy)
We went outside to take a picture and left these 2 cute boys next to each other on the blanket and we came back to this. Nicholas had rolled over right next to Tyson, almost on top of him. They were enjoying one another company. So cute!
That same Sunday Renee and Wayne blessed Tyson so they had us all over for lunch after church. The only picture I got was of Renee, JJ and I. I am so blessed with such great friends.
