Christmas baking fun

One of the many activities we did this Christmas season was make and decorate Gingerbread cookies. Alan made them. He found a very delicious yet very easy recipe. Check it our for yourself. You will not be disappointed: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Gingerbread-Men/Detail.aspx. We are adding this as a tradition in our house. It was so much fun. He not only made gingerbread men but also bears and reindeer.
Alli made Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer.

Olivia loved the cookies, can you see it in her face?
Jonathan's Christmas bear. He loved the icing!
Random picture, but I love it! We were at the ward Christmas party. I can now put a little pony tail on the top of Livy's head. If you look very closely you can see it. Sorry girls that you have to take after me.
We also made Gingerbread houses. This is our first time ever doing this. The kids had a blast! I think that they ate more candy than they put on their houses if you can believe it. We made them out of graham crackers but I think next year I would like to try making the gingerbread. We will see. Aren't they so cute!

The proud builder.

Alli lost her 4th tooth that day.
This is where Olivia sat during all of the building. She loves to be apart of everything her sister and brother are doing.

  1. I saw a cute idea in "Taste of Home" to use empty milk cartons (you know, the cardboard ones like you get at school) as gingerbread houses.
