Fish Ballerina

Alli had her final ballet performance for the year a couple of weeks ago. They had 2 performances, one in the morning for the grade school kids in the area and then in the evening for the community.
The theme for the performance was Broadway shows and musicals. Her age group danced to a song from "Suessical the Musical." They were fishes, hence the gold outfit. The red lines on her face are suppose to be gills. The outfit is a little interesting but the thing I love about her dance is that we don't have to pay for costumes. It is part of a dance company and they have tons of costumes from previous years that they reuse.
They did the cutest dance!

Alli loves to perform which is a little out of character for her since she is usually quite shy. She was so excited for her performances that she couldn't sleep the night before and woke up extra early the next morning. Just to see what she would say I asked her if she would still be excited if she had a solo number and had to dance on the stage all by herself and her response shocked me. She said,"Oh, that would be cool!" I guess that she has found her niche. It is so fun as a parent to watch your child thoroughly enjoy something so much. It makes if worth the time and money that you put in to it.
