Blessing Day

Nicholas was blessed in church on Sunday. It was a beautiful day. My mom made his handsome little outfit when she was here. He got so many compliments on it all day. Everyone was really impressed and amazed that she made it. One person even said that my mom should start her own business. Alli was so proud of the fact that my mom made his outfit that she told everyone. One person responded, "WOW! That's great." And Alli's response was, "I KNOW, isn't it impressive?"
He was 5 weeks old on Sunday. WOW! Time flies!

Everyone keeps asking how I was able to get an even number of girls and boys. It is funny though, because Alli has informed me that it is not even because she only has one sister and two brothers so we need to have one more girl so that she can have 2 sisters and 2 brothers. The logic of an 8 year old. I had to inform her that it is not even for her but it is even for me and that is all that matters.

We didn't have any family here but we still had friends over for lunch after church. We are so blessed to have such great friends who are like family to us. The weather was perfect. The day before was cold and rainy so it was a blessing to have a sunny, warm day so that the kids could eat and play outside.

Our next door neighbor, Dorothy, came to church with us and then the luncheon. She is the best neighbor anyone can have.

Our friend, Juyoung, is from Korea. The same city where Alan served his mission. Her daughter is the same age as Olivia. We met her in our neighborhood. She lives on the road where we take our walks.

I know that I just said that we didn't have any family here for the blessing and now I have a picture of my mom with Nicholas in his blessing outfit.
Well....since she made his outfit we had to try it on him while she was here and get a picture of her with him in the outfit. Thanks mom for all of the work you did to make this handsome outfit while you were here. You are amazing!
