Our first activity was flying kites.

Olivia was so excited to fly kites until we got there & then she got scared when the kite would flip around or lose air and come crashing to the ground. So Alan took over flying "Dora."

A beautiful afternoon just "hanging out" outside. Olivia loves to swing.

Playing in the sandbox.

Hanging out watching the kids on a beautiful day. I love the spring!

I found this recipe in "The Friend" (a church magazine) for this month, "Bunny Buns." They were a hit. Yummy! Alan has requested that I make them again for Easter & the kids think it needs to become one of our Easter traditions. You can't really see the face on this one but they are cute little bunnies.

One afternoon the kids & I made these Easter eggs. We blew out the inside with one of those suction bulbs you use on babies. It worked great. That way, you don't have to put your mouth on the egg. We then painted them. The kids had a ball. Thanks for the idea mom.

At the end of the week we went to Land Between the Lakes. They have a new paved path alongside the highway. The kids rode their bikes and we walked. As I mentioned before it got rather hot that day. I did not even think about sunscreen & we all got a little sunburned (except Nicholas).

Olivia rode in her stroller but had to get out for a minute to have a piggyback ride.

Doesn't he look cute in his little hat. What a cutie!
Along the path we found a turtle. It was so little that Alan and Jonathan missed it when they passed by. I spotted it. The kids loved looking at it. It was so cute! We call it our "saving turtle," because while we were stopped to look at it there was a truck with a trailer that lost control & ran into the barrier that separates the highway from the path just ahead of us. We would have been right there had we not stopped. We were very blessed. Thank goodness for our little turtle.

Here is a picture we took to show how small it was.

Eating our picnic.

He finally got to get out of his car seat . Sleeping as usual.
