Fun with Grandpa & Grandma

My parents flew in for 2 weeks to help & of course to see & hold their 15th grandchild. The above picture is when Nicholas met his grandpa & grandma for the 1st time. We had a hard time deciding when they should come, because it is impossible to know exactly when a baby will be born. We timed it pretty good or should I say Nicholas timed it just right because he was born 2 days before they came. My water broke in the parking lot walking out to the car after church on Sunday. Luckily my friends were there and made all of the arrangements of who would watch our kids. I have the greatest friends!

Everyone at Jonathan's cold soccer game. The first week that my parents were here was warm and sunny. All of the spring flowers and trees were blooming. It was beautiful and then the last week turned cold. I teased with them that it was getting them ready to go back to cold Idaho so their bodies wouldn't go into shock. :)

My dad's favorite game is "Yatzee." He got Alli interested in it too and they played almost everyday they were here. Alli loved spending time with her grandpa.

Sunday afternoon nap

My mom is famous in our family for her homemade noodles. At my house growing up we all requested it for our special birthday dinner every year, so of course she had to make them while she was here. The kids just had to help. We are passing the tradition on to the next generation.

My dad plays the guitar. I grew up with him playing and singing for us. We especially loved going camping and singing around the campfire. He now plays in a band and loves every minute of it. Since they flew on a plane to come he couldn't bring his guitar, but we couldn't have grandpa come without playing and singing for us so we borrowed a guitar from our friend for the 2 weeks they were here. The kids had so much fun singing and dancing to grandpa's music. A memory they will never forget.

While they were here the circus was in town so they took the kids and I got to have a peaceful evening . Yea! It was a win win. They had so much fun.
Olivia's favorite were the elephants.
Thanks Grandpa & Grandma for all of your hard work and all of the fun times. We really appreciate all you did for us. We couldn't have made it through the 2 weeks of adjustment time without you.
