The day after we arrived at my parents house was the 4th of July. Here we are doing a flag ceremony to post the flag. My dad is a true blue scouter. Jonathan loved it.

That afternoon we went down into the canyon and had a picnic and went jet skiing with Alan's sister & brother-in-law, Ann & Monte.

Alli was even brave enough this year to go on a jet ski ride with Uncle Monte, who likes to go really fast and do spins and tricks. If you know Alli she is not known for being real adventurous. When she rides with me she won't let me go over 30 miles per hour. If I do, she starts screaming like she is being attacked. So I found it interesting when she said she wanted to go. When she got back she wasn't in tears, but smiling and said she had a great time. I asked her if she ever got scared and she said no. I know Alli better than that so I said, "not even a little bit?" and she said, "okay, maybe a little bit." I was so proud of her for going and doing something a little bit scary. It is good for us every once in a while.

This is what my dad enjoyed doing, relaxing in the shade, holding his little buddy, Nicholas. They got some good snuggle time in.

These are just some random pictures.

Savannah, Mariah, Aubrey, Jerica, Alli and Emma-6 of the 8 girl cousins. They all had a ball together.

Livy holding one of the baby kittens. My parents had 12 baby kittens this summer. WOW! All of the grand kids had so much fun with them.

I am sad that I didn't get a picture of all of them with Alli. If you ever wanted to know where the girls were all you had to do was go outside and find the kitties and there were the girls.
