Summer Camps

Jonathan was in a basketball camp in June put on by the university basketball team. He absolutely loved it. He thought it was so cool to be with the BIG basketball players. This is him with his team coach.

At the end of the camp they got to take home their very own basketball and have all of the players sign it. He thought that he was big stuff.

Another player signing his ball.

This is the head coach of the team.

Jonathan has played soccer, basketball and baseball. A couple of weeks ago I asked him which one he liked the best and he said basketball and when I asked why he said, "because you get to play inside." I don't blame him with all of the hot weather that we get here.

Alli was in a clay class this summer at the "Art Guild." She loves to do crafty things so it was perfect for her and she loved it. It was a week long and theme was animals. Everyday they made a new project. This picture is of the animal whistles they made. Alli made a bunny. Her class was even in the local newspaper.

Here they are after they have been fired. The kitty is a piggy bank. The bunny is a whistle. The spider looking one was on "wacky Wednesday," it has a turtle shell, spider legs and a beaver tail. The other one is some sort of sea creature. I am just amazed at how well she did. They all look so good and she is so proud of them.

The bunny whistle is my favorite. It has the most beautiful sound and as you can see it even has holes where you can put your fingers to play different tones. It is so cool.
