Alan and I celebrated our 10th anniversary in June. On the day of our anniversary we were frantically packing to leave on our trip the next day so needless to say we didn't get to do much celebrating. We decided to wait until we got to my parents house and take advantage of having grandparents to watch the kids. We went on an overnight trip to Salt Lake. One of the reasons we decided to go to Salt Lake again was that a member of our ward in Kentucky had passed away. He was originally from Salt Lake and was going to be buried there and his funeral was a few days after we arrived in Idaho. Alan really wanted to be there to support the family since we were so close (Alan is the bishop of our ward) and so back to Utah we went. Alan was even asked to speak at the funeral. The family was very appreciative of our support. Everyone at the funeral who didn't know us were so impressed that we traveled all the way from Kentucky just to attend the funeral. Little did they know we only had to come from Idaho. :)
It was nice to just get away. We went to the Jordan River temple.
